What to Pack for a Day Out on a Seavia Yacht
Pack Smart, Sail Better
A day trip on the water is one of life's great pleasures — but being under-prepared can turn a perfect outing into an uncomfortable one. Whether you're joining a half-day cruise or a full sunset charter, this guide covers everything you need to bring for a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
Sun Protection Is Non-Negotiable
Reflected UV rays off the water are significantly stronger than on land. Sunburn happens fast aboard a yacht, even on cloudy days. Pack sun protection as your first priority.
- SPF 50+ broad-spectrum sunscreen (reef-safe where possible)
- Wide-brimmed hat and UV-protective sunglasses
- Light long-sleeve shirt or rash guard for extended sun exposure

Clothing & Footwear
Dress in layers — mornings and evenings on the water can be cooler than expected. Flat, non-marking soft-soled shoes are standard on all yachts to protect deck surfaces. Leave heeled shoes, stilettos, and dark-soled shoes ashore.
- Swimwear and a quick-dry cover-up
- Lightweight windbreaker or fleece for the return journey
- Non-marking deck shoes or bare feet only
Final Checklist
Beyond sun protection and clothing, a few essentials round out your day bag: a reusable water bottle (stay hydrated at sea), seasickness medication if you're prone to motion sickness, a waterproof phone case, and a small dry bag for valuables. Leave large rigid suitcases and glass bottles at your accommodation — space aboard is precious.
